InnovaCare Health is the Recipient of Beryl Institute’s Top Honor, the 2020 Patient Experience Organizational Innovation Award


WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — April 30, 2020 – InnovaCare Health, a national leader in integrated and value-based healthcare services, announced today the company has earned The Beryl Institute’s top honor – the 2020 Patient Experience Organizational Innovation Award – for their triad of innovative programs positively impacting the health of senior populations. InnovaCare Health is one of three recipients of Beryl’s Patient Experience Innovation Award and the only health plan to ever receive the honor.

The Beryl Institute, a community of more than 55,000 members from over 80 countries across the globe committed to elevating the human experience of healthcare, recognizes healthcare providers for their commitment to change cultures, implement new strategies and build true partnerships with patients and families through this annual award. InnovaCare’s award-winning submission highlights three programs offered through its Puerto Rico-based subsidiary, MMM Healthcare, to improve the lives of seniors.

The triad of services includes:

  • Member Clubs: Help seniors stay physically, mentally and emotionally well by providing safe community spaces for members to gather. Combating loneliness and depression, these clubs offer wellness classes, exercise facilities and activities that engage seniors in living their best life.
  • Vita Care Clinics: Provide complex care management for chronic illnesses. Interdisciplinary teams work with seniors to provide coordinated, holistic services in one location. Better management of chronic illness is keeping these seniors at home.
  • Unidad Dorada: Hospital units dedicated to providing a concierge-like hospital experience to members. Emphasis is placed on education and discharge planning to increase member compliance and reduce hospital re-admissions.
